Deccan’s insulators are used as post insulators for varied voltage range of 11 kV to 245 kV.  Post insulators are installed vertically or horizontally depending upon the type of loading and requirement.  In substation applications it is used for bus support primarily.  Several hundreds of composite post insulators are already in operation in numerous locations across India. Silicone composite insulators for isolator application up to 145 kV is currently under type testing.
